On today’s episode, Carrie Ellen is joined by Jim Farmer.

Jim Farmer is the Vice President of Training, Programs, and HR for For The Children, a nonprofit dedicated to serving children who have experienced abuse, neglect, and abandonment through mentoring and camp programs across the United States and internationally.  Jim has spent his career helping organizations develop people and culture through training, leadership development, and volunteer engagement. Prior to joining For The Children, he held learning and development leadership roles with organizations including The Walt Disney Company, SCAN Health Plan, and MUFG Americas, where he focused on building strong teams and service-driven cultures.  In addition to his nonprofit leadership, Jim leads JFarmer Consulting, where he works with organizations to develop leaders, strengthen workplace culture, and design engaging training experiences.  Jim is passionate about equipping volunteers and leaders to create life-changing moments for others. He lives in Southern California with his wife and two daughters.

For the Children Website - Mission: For The Children's mission is to mobilize the local Church to create life-changing moments for children who have experienced relational trauma. We do this through our Royal Family KIDS Camp and Royal Family KIDS Mentoring programs.

Bridge to Belonging - Bridge to Belonging equips church volunteers with clear tools to handle children's challenging behaviors confidently, so they feel supported, effective, and less likely to burn out or quit.
